Cousins and VBS!

Caroline and Sarah spent a week in Hiawassee with Leighton. The three girls attended "craft camp" together. William joined them for the second week when they all participated in VBS at the Gray's church.

Winston and I drove up Friday to see their closing presentation and to bring them all back home.

Here are all the cousins together.

This is how we all felt when we got home:

Gray Girls

While taking a different route than normal to the airpark, Spencer discovered a road named "Gray Girls Road." He couldn't resist taking the girls there to make their picture on a rare snowy day. While on the way to the fly-in the day before Winston's baptism, we couldn't pass up another picture with another "Gray Girl." One of these days, we'll get a picture with Leighton, too!

One Month Old

Well, we are a few days behind schedule with the picture, but here is Winston at one month and three days old. I think it's fitting that I take his "birthday" picture on Sarah's birthday (June 17). Hard to believe she's TEN!!

A New Stroller - or is it?

One of the gifts that we received at Winston's Sip and See was a new stroller - one that will be GREAT for traveling and will last for many years. While I was reading the instructions, someone else was trying out the bag that is used to put the stroller in while traveling!

Here are the results:

Winston's Sip and See

Despite being the "guest of honor," Winston slept through most of the shower given by Tiffany McBryde and Melissa Futch.

There was a theme of personalized items - burp cloths, bibs, and bath towel! No mistaking whose they are!

Winston was a big hit with all the young girls who were there. They all wanted a chance to hold him - and he graciously humored them!

Baptism of a Covenant Child

June 7, 2009 Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church

Family and friends gathered for Winston's baptism. We were so honored to have all four grandparents and Spencer's sister and her husband with us.

Our neighbors from Conyers, the Schimmels, who have seen us through many things! and Carrie's dear friend from Moody, Eva Pierce, joined us.

It was also a blessing to have the man who married us 14 years ago, Ray Craig, with us to celebrate Winston's baptism.

A luncheon followed the service where our other family - our church family - was able to enjoy a wonderful time of fellowship.

It was my joy to hand-sew Winston's gown (with the advice of friend, Rena Brown). I was able to finish it the day before the baptism - even though I started it back in January! I wanted baby #4 to have something special, something that I made. Every stitch - even the hard to sew neck band - was a pleasure. I look forward to the day when I am able to see Winston's own children baptized in it.
