Needing a shave already?

Winston was really enjoying the chili I made the other night.  It was mostly black beans, so it was a little more black than red colored.  He was feeding himself (a must these days!) and this is what it looked like:

Spence commented that he looked like he had a five-o'clock shadow!  When I got out the camera to take a picture, he started giving me the "look."  He tips his head down and looks at you out of the 'top' of his eyes and gives you a stern face.  We were all laughing so hard.  Near the beginning of the video, you can hear one of his few words, "moon"  never mind that he was pointing to the ceiling of the kitchen!

Couldn't you just eat him up?!?!

Cloud Nine??

Caroline was playing with Winston this afternoon, since William, his regular playmate is visiting Grandma and Grandpa this week. And this is what she did:

To give some perspective, this is a little wider view:
We're surviving without William, but just barely! I'm not sure if I'll last til Friday!

As a side note, they were supposed to do the inspection on the new house today - sooner than we thought and Spence was disappointed not to be there when he did it, but he's busy studying for 2 days of simulator training (Tues and Wed). They are supposed to start putting up drywall tomorrow if all went well today.

Family Wedding

We had the opportunity to go to the mountains of NC for the wedding of Spencer's cousin, Austin (the one who was on Survivor). Somehow the only picture I managed to take was of Spence's sister, Katy, her husband, Fred, and their 6 month old, Ivy. At least it was a good picture!!

The wedding was at an open-air chapel that had the front open to the rolling mountains beyond. It was worth the hour drive to get there!

Happy Birthday, Caroline!!

We were all set to go to a Braves game on Sunday after church. Then we found out they changed the game time - to EIGHT pm!!! How do you manage a 15 month old that late at night??? Answer: STROLLER!

We decided to go early to enjoy all the "extras" since we wouldn't be able to stay late. Both boys loved "Toon Town." And William was able to get in some batting practice.

Right after we got to our seats, they started shooting t-shirts into the stands. One came right to me!! Caroline immediately claimed it and put it on.

Since Winston fell asleep in the stroller, we decided to stick it out til the end of the game (which they lost :( ) and let the kids run the bases. It was almost 11:30pm by that time!

They each got t-shirts and certificates commemorating the experience! All in all, it was a fun day - certainly memorable!

Happy #14 Caroline!!

P 51 mustang

People ask why we would want to live so far out from "everything." I guess it depends on what you find important! This is from last Saturday when they held the 2nd Annual Vintage Day at the Candler Field Museum next to our new house.

Country Boy

It's not toilet paper in the truck - just paper towels! But he does look like a good ol' boy, doesn't he?

Sleep and a haircut

Here are some cute ones of the PM.

We had a showing yesterday and he had to delay his nap. Evidently, we waited too long to put him in the crib!

Spencer has been hinting for some time that we needed to get rid of Winston's girlish curls, so this morning, I cut 'em off! He looks so much more grown up to me now. :( Where's my little baby? He sure doesn't look like one, now if he could just have his night time sleep be more in keeping with his age!
