Matching Men?

William really wanted to match with Winston and this is one of the few outfits they have that match.  Unfortunately, it was about 50 degrees outside, so Winston ended up in layers!
Thanks for the "kits" Dawn!! :)

Look out Justin Bieber!

Despite our "sheltered" homelife, the girls know who Justin Bieber is and have their own opinions about his hair.  Winston woke up from his nap the other day with this "do."  It was curled up all on its own!    It really was cute, but gave further credence to Spencer's complaints that Winston's hair was too long.  So, that afternoon it got cut.

Time for a bath!!!!

The other day Winnie was outside after it had rained. I wasn't out there, but it looked like he kinda fell into mud (no one saw it happen). Only his hands and legs (much loved cowboy boots). By the way, he was wearing a shirt, momma had just taken it off. He is now in love with bellybutton. Notice in pictures 1&3 he has his hand in it. Now if we ask him to say "the word" he will say 'amem' (amen). picture 2 - he doesn't like things dirty. He walks around with a wipe and wipes off EVERYTHING including PEOPLE!!!!!! I don't think that he liked having his hands dirty. I think that he is going to be like daddy someday- very neat and clean

Good Opportunity

I usually don't do stuff like this, but I thought that it would get the word out to some of you folk. This event it taking place at the Candler Field Museum next Saturday -March 19th. My mom is going to be helping and my dad might be there. It is not to late to purchase tickets. So if you get to come you should see at least one of our family members. Unfortunately I won't be able to go this year because Momma needed a babysitter for the night or else she would have to stay home with the boys.  She asked me and I said that I would do it (I'm also getting paid. OH, YEAH!!).
Hopefully the weather will be good and they have a good turnout. All the proceeds are going towards a new hanger that they should be starting soon. If you want to look more into the museum click here to go to their website. Hope you can come and enjoy the night out. This is the info from the website. Also at the bottom I have put some pictures from the Benefit Dinner in 2010. Caroline, William and I helped with the food.

BENEFIT DANCE

 Saturday - March 19th

Saturday, March 19, 2011 the Candler Field Museum will host a Hangar Dance to benefit the museum.  The theme for the dance will be the 1940's with an emphasis on WWII.  The Modernaires, an 18 piece orchestra from the Atlanta area, will provide 1930's and 1940's music.  You are encouraged to dress in period attire although this is certainly not required.  If you are not a dancer come an enjoy the music and hangar talk.  It will be a fun evening for all.
A silent auction will also be held during the evening with a live auction periodically.  We also have a very special dance team that will be performing.  The event begins with a social gathering at 6:30 PM and the orchestra will play from 7 PM until 10 PM.  Heavy appetizers and desserts will be served along with a cash bar.  Tickets are $45 per person and all proceeds go toward construction of the Doug Davis hangar.  Candler Field Museum is a nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.  You may purchase tickets by clicking the link below or at Barnstormer's Grill.  You may also call 770-467-9490.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Picnic on the Lake

This is a good starting photo right- eating her food pleasantly- uh???
The other day I had an idea to go on a picnic at the lake. We walked up there and had a good time. We decided to make it a Friday tradition for after a hard week of school.
This is where the path turns to gravel and the pine needles cover the ground. It looks like the forest made a path on it's own. I think that it is pretty- if only there wasn't pavement before it where you can see it:(
Caroline was preparing for the rain.
She thought that the umbrella was funny.

Handsome cowboy- notice to boots.
He wanted to be prepared too.
William and momma thought that it was cold. It was just right for me.

Pretty view across the lake.
I was kinda bored.
Who is this?

Do you think that we should have gone on a picnic when there was a tornado watch for later that afternoon- or with a sky like this?

Plane Trip Gone Wrong

Today the family (except Daddy who was at the old house supervising the granite installation) went for a walk. There was a plane parked on the other side of the runway. Then a truck with some machinery on the back started driving next to the runway. Then Momma realized that the plane that was "parked" was a plane that had flipped over. We walked across the runway and there were some 'airplane recovery' people looking at it.
This is the tail. It was pretty badly damaged.
No, the tail is not straight on the ground- it is just the angle of the camera.

The machinery was a small crane to tip it back over. We had gone home to do school, and we saw them pick it up. It was pretty cool.
