I really like this picture (probably because I took it:))
The other day we went to a 'U-Pick Strawberries' place with Grampy (my mom's dad). We had a really fun time. The prices were really good - $1.50 a pound. We got around $20.00 worth of strawberries.
Winston really enjoyed picking.
The other day Grandma and Grandpa came for Winston's 2nd bday (Saturday, the 14th) and we went to pick more strawberries. We got 15 pounds - $23.00 - of strawberries and strawberry fried pie and strawberry ice cream‼
These are 2 videos that show how hard work a mom's job. As most people say ' A mom's work is NEVER done!!!' Happy Mother's Day y'all☺♥
Here is a passage in the Bible that talks about women.
Proverbs 31:10-31 A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.
She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
As most of you know... The south was hit with a bunch of tornado's. All around us were tornado's and some lives. Thankfully were are all fine and do damage has been done. PTL. My granddad (aka.Grampy) came in on a flight on Wed. night. Momma left the house at 9:30 to go to the airport to pick him up. His plane had to divert to Augusta, GA to wait out the storm. Momma ended up sleeping in the back of the car till he came in to the ATL airport at 2:30 am. They headed home and didn't get home till 5:30am. They had some troubles on the way back though. They tried the regular route through Peachtree City (where church is- 30/45 min away) to get home but it was blocked by fallen trees. They got about 9 miles from home and were blocked by yet another tree. They went down one road and saw emergency vehicles and flashing lights. Apparently some guy had gone out to check on his neighbor and the tornado came right through were they were and they both were killed. They ended up having to cross some power lines that were to get home. The next day we went out to look at all the damage. We went into the town of Griffin and there was a forklift warehouse that had gotten destroyed.There was much more that was damaged and we praise the Lord that we were not harmed:) Pray for the people that were harmed and had homes and even some family members. Here are some pictures that we took the morning after the tornado. Sorry, some of them are kinda bad, but I was in the backseat of the moving car trying to get pics. while we had to go so that we weren't in a car wreck. So it was either bad pics. or a wreck!!
