Anna Ruby Falls

We actually got to do one thing as a WHOLE family this summer!  The girls were headed

We got to go on a hike with Katy and Fred.

All the girl cousins! Ivy wasn't too thrilled to be out of Mama's arms :)
William had worked very hard to get his Junior Ranger badge for the GA State Parks and was presented it by a couple of the rangers from Unicoi State Park.

We even got to go to Daniel's - the kid's favorite eatery in Hiawassee.

Winston practiced his "salute" on Grandma and Grandpa's front porch.

Dallas June 2011

Winston and Aunt Charlotte
While the three big kids were in Hiawassee with their grandparents, Winston and I got to go to Dallas to see my mom, and Aunt and Uncle.

The weather was quite hot, but my mom and I sewed me a dress AND we got to eat at In N Out Burger - one of my very favorites!!  And they had just opened the restaurant the month before!

Winston didn't realize what a treat it was, but he liked wearing the hat - and eating French Fries!

How do you keep a 2 year old occupied on the airplane?  Give him a Rice Krispie Treat AND a Nutty Bar.
And then he's HAPPY - but more importantly - QUIET!!

Winston and Uncle Van
We ended up taking a day and a half to come home because all the flights were full, so we spent the night at a Red Roof Inn near the airport.  This was dinner - McDonald's in the hotel.

Do you think he had a little bit of sugar while we waited in the airport all day? :)

Georgia Mountain Fair

A few weeks ago we got to go the GA Mtn Fair in Hiawassee, GA

There was a tiger show - almost as good as Las Vegas - ok, not really, but we got to sit really close!
We ate Fried Oreos, Sarah and cousin rode the Carnival rides.  William decided that he didn't like the music of The Atlanta Rhythm Section.  And Winston got tuckered out.  A fun day, even though it rained on us.

A new use for earplugs

Beware of what gets left around the house.  You never know where it will end up!

Cousin Visit

Some people get to go and visit relatives for several days or even a week.  We see them for 20 minutes in the airport!  I guess you take what you can get :)
Winston and Caroline were the only kids we had when we stopped to see Curt and Diane and the kids.

Aubrey and Tyler

Olivia - showing off her cornrows and braces!

Winston did a good job of polishing the floors as he laid on them!

Even though it was quick, it was good to see them!

Sleepover fun

With summer almost over, William got to have his friend, Andrew, over to spend the night.  It clouded over enough that they could go outside and play.  Mud was the order of the day!!
Spreading it all over to get maximum coverage.

Going for the "Daniel Day-Lewis" look - straight out of Last of the Mohicans!!

Winston got in on the fun too! :)  We had to crop the photo to keep it legal!!
